Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Slidehatch (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit slidehatch.com (the “Site”) or purchase Slidehatch (the “Product”). We keep this simple: we collect as little as possible, and we don't sell your data.

1. Information we collect

Purchase information. When you buy, our payment processor Stripe collects your email and payment details to process the transaction. We receive a record of the purchase (including your email and order reference) but never your full card number.

Email address. If you join our waitlist or newsletter, we collect the email address you submit so we can contact you about Slidehatch.

Basic analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, page views and referrers). It is privacy-oriented and not used to build advertising profiles. Our hosting provider may also log technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and operations.

2. How we use it

We use the information above to:

• process your purchase and deliver your download;
• email you your download link, receipts, and product updates;
• send you waitlist or newsletter emails if you asked to receive them;
• provide support when you contact us; and
• keep the Site secure and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the Product work, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy);
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery;
• our email provider — to send your download link and any newsletter emails you opted into.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

4. Cookies

The Site uses only essential cookies needed for it to function and for secure checkout. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep purchase records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and support purposes. We keep your waitlist/newsletter email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK or applicable Canadian and US laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep the little data we hold safe.

8. Children

The Product is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
